Botox Certification - Agenda

time description
8:00am–8:30am Registration.
8:30am–9:00am History of Botox. Overview, current applications and newest advancements, federal and state regulations, FDA Approved Applications.
9:00am-10:30am Patient Consultation Process. Communicating expected results of Botox Treatments. Learn which techniques that will satisfy your patient's goals and concerns and properly mark facial zones. Proper storage, reconstitution, and administrative concerns, record keeping, and patient charting.
10:30am–10:45pm Break.
10:45am–11:45am Dosing schedules and suggested injection patterns: Upper Face/Lower Face/Neck, Lateral Canthus, Glabellar Complex, and Forehead Treatment using standard of care protocols, guidelines, understanding the medical model, safety, techniques and indications.
11:45am–1:00pm Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), Bruxism, and Chronic Migraine Headache protocols and overview. Learn proper dosing and diagnose various orofacial pain disorders and the use of Botox.
1:00pm–2:00pm Lunch.
2:00pm—3:00pm Medical and Relative Contraindications, Adverse Events, and correction of asymmetries for patients. Advanced injections “off-label” for mid-arch brow lift, parenthesis lines, and platysmal banding – protocols and patient considerations.
3:00pm–3:15pm Break.
3:15pm–6:00pm Hands-On Sessions. Small group breakout sessions with live volunteer patients. Attendees will be required to administer Botox and show proficiency in review of treatment and injection technique and administration.
